Congratulations to Sterling Heights Parks and Recreation and Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) for each receiving a 2020 Park Design Award from the Michigan Recreation and Park Association (mParks) during their Annual Conference and Trade Show on January 31 in Novi, Michigan. Sterling Height Parks and Recreation won for Dodge Park and MDNR won for Wilderness State Park.
Dodge Park was completely renovated including new picnic shelters, amphitheater and water park.
NFE is honored to have worked on both projects. We provided surveying, engineering design and construction administration services for Dodge Park, and comprehensive study, surveying, engineering design and construction administration services for Wilderness State Park.
Design award winners are determined based on criteria including project purpose, unique problems or techniques used, local significance, degree of innovation, aesthetic quality, functionality and construction viability. NFE enjoyed working on both of these award-winning projects.
Wilderness State Park Lakeshore Campground was completely redeveloped including new toilet/shower bulidings and roads.
